About Yumplings

Yumplings founder Nancy Chi is a dumpling fanatic.

She grew up making dumplings nearly every Sunday night with her family.  It is a culinary family tradition her parents brought from Shandong, China and she grew up mastering her family heirloom recipe.

“My dad’s job was to roll out the dough for the dumpling wrappers; my mother prepared the delicious meat filling; and my sister and I worked as a factory line to fill and seal the lovely little pouches of meat and vegetables,” says Nancy.

Yumplings keeps the tradition alive, continuing her favorite dumpling recipe, “guotie” also know as pot stickers.  These tasty morsels are filled with the freshest ingredients then wrapped in homemade wrappers and pan fried so it’s crispy on one side and chewy on the other.

In addition to her yummy dumplings, she’s created her own version of Mandarin beef wraps made with the Chi  family’s secret marinade tri-tip beef or chicken, fresh cilantro, scallions, and shredded carrots, topped with homemade plum chill sauce to give it a bit of a kick.

These aren’t just dumplings, they’re Yumplings!
